The Ami Super was a bit of a hot rod by economy car standards owing to its light weight, but it looked like a decade-old Ami and it was pricey for what it was, so most 1970s Amis were just the regular 2-cylinder Ami 8, which ran into 1978 before being replaced by the Visa.
